Sailing the Leeward Islands, Feb 1-8, 2014

Next sailing adventure to be the Leeward Islands.
These islands are not clustered together in a tight grouping, making the wave heights larger, often sailing in open seas.  So, let's take a larger vessel (this time)-say a 360 foot Star Clipper with 4 masts. (This is a "real" picture taken by Dan from a tender as our boat sails under a rainbow.)
Another advantage of a larger boat is a nicer Master Stateroom!
But it still has to "sail" and she does list port and starboard, depending on the tack.
Of course, there is time for shoreside adventures with co-pirates-Dan & Donna from Bellingham, WA. We picked up these guys in the bilge of the "Stressbuster" in Greece (Cyclades Islands) and for some reason, we can't seem to sail without them!
Champagne was compliments of the Captain.  Of course, he was happy to have us onboard for navigational assistance and other matters of commerce.
Our Quarters were conveniently located well above the waterline.
This is a "real" photo as the larger (5-masted) sister ship sails off our starboard side.
Don't miss the steel pans on Shirley Heights overlooking English Harbour in Antigua.
