More Tug Cruising Florida's West Coast (April 18-May3)

The Venice Inlet to the Gulf of Mexico in Venice, Florida.  What a beautiful place.  And to the port side is the very nice Crow's Nest Restaurant. Can you believe that this is an opening into the Gulf of Mexico?

Sarasota-Marina Jack's in downtown.  We had trouble maneuvering into the slip.  Need to get the fenders  out to make sure we don't hit the sides while doing 360's.

Manatee River-beach park just behind DeSota Point.  Great place for anchor and lunch.

Melissa's favorite part of the trip-crossing Tampa Bay with 22 knots of wind.
We had to get to the other side?

Dunedin, Florida-just south of Tarpon Springs.  This hidden little beauty has a picturesque downtown, a beautiful marina, and nice restaurants and hotels nearby.  We passed it in the tug and had to turn around and come back.

Tarpon Springs-Miss Vickie's Bar near the Anclote Village Marina.

Downtown Tarpon Springs-Greek sponge divers selling natural sponges and Greek restaurants selling Greek food and Greek ouzo.

Apalachicola-oysters+oysters-let me count the ways!

Old Marine Corp buddies (Mike and Ken) on a restaurant balcony in Apalachicola.  It has been 38 years since we have all been together.
(poor Melissa)

The traffic cop dressed in white is patrolling for seat belts and safe speeds for the manatees and asking for us to come back soon.
