Ashore Activities in the BVI

We spent some time ashore. At mid-week we docked the sailboat at the Lighthouse Marina in Soper's Hole where Harbour Master, Ollie, graciously took care of us. Since these folks drive on the left hand side of the road, we became convinced early-on that transportation by taxi was the way to go.

We found Long Bay Beach to be a great out-of-the way place to explore.

Dinner and drinks at Fish & Lime back at Soper's Hole with the new owners and our great new friends, Heather and Ewan Anderson.

Downtown Road Town

Time for home-cooked chicken and authentic lamb shepherd's pie at the Fort Burt on Burt Point in Road Town.

Cane Garden Bay is regarded as one of the more beautiful anchorages in the BVI.
Myett's Garden had plenty of great rum and good food as well.
We had previously cruised thru this bay on the sailboat.

The Callwood family purchased the Arundel Rum name and distillery in the late 1800's where the rum is still produced from the cane grown on the hillsides.  Rum sampling is the name-of-the-game here.
